This month is African Heritage Month, a time to acknowledge and reflect on the past and present of Black communities across this country.

This year's African Heritage Month theme is 'Seas of Struggle – African Peoples from Shore to Shore'; highlighting the role the sea has played in the long-standing history of people of African descent, and African Nova Scotians specifically.
