Jeff Green - Facility Events and Sport Supervisor
Jeff Green’s background in sports and recreation makes him the perfect fit for Sportsplex team as the Facility Events and Sport Supervisor. Originally from Whitney Pier, Nova Scotia, Jeff’s leisure, volunteer, and professional time focus heavily on sport and the positive impact sport can have on the community.
Before joining the Sportsplex team, Jeff was a Communications Intern at the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario, a Front Desk Attendant at the YMCA Cape Breton, and most recently, the Facility Supervisor at Razor Management in Toronto. He also likes to volunteer his time within his community, encouraging sport and active living amount youth. He was a basketball coach with Riverview High School, and a Program Facilitator for youth programs with Basketball Cape Breton.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys playing basketball, football (shout-out Cleveland Browns!), and baseball. He can sometimes be found working on his swing by hitting golf balls in the woods on a summer day.
No day at work is ever quite the same for Jeff, but they are always guaranteed to be busy! Between developing youth programs, the popularity of the Sportsplex day camps, and overseeing members using the gymnasium, there’s always something going on! His favorite activity is drop-in basketball in the gymnasium. When he’s not working, he likes to sign up to play himself, which allows him to interact and get to know Sportsplex members, while playing a sport he loves.
